Sruthi Vijayachandran is a Rolling Stone–featured artist with a multifaceted background in dance, music, and theater.​
Sruthi began training in Bharatanatyam at the age of six and is a senior disciple of Nalini Prakash, co-artistic director of Spilling Ink and former chairperson of the American Dance Therapy Association. She is also a grand disciple of Padma Shri Sudharani Raghupathy. Sruthi later continued under the guidance of Gayatri Ramaratnam at Silambam, Bangalore, where she assisted in teaching while growing as a performer. Awarded the Government of India’s scholarship for dance, Sruthi has performed across multiple cities and on prestigious stages including the International Centre for Performing Arts, Natyanjali, and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

She has also trained briefly in Mohiniyattam under danseuse Vinaya Narayanan. Building on her classical roots, Sruthi expanded her repertoire with training in Bollywood and contemporary styles under The Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts and Anila Rajan of Dance India Dance fame.​
As a teacher, she draws on her multidisciplinary performing arts background to help students grow into confident performers — developing not only strong technique but also stage presence, musicality, storytelling skills and expressive artistry.

Sruthi's work as a musician and singer-songwriter has been featured in Rolling Stone, The Hindu, The Times of India, Gigital and other leading print and broadcast media outlets.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Sruthi built a successful career in PR and corporate communications. She was honored by the University of Cambridge with The Best Young Speaker in Asia award in 2012.
